Mavericks of Cape Town: When Gentleman’s Club Meets Library

Recently I included an item in Sex News where a gentleman’s club in Cape Town, South Africa had created and launched a line of men’s colognes called Alibi. These scents are supposed to be the smell of whatever a man’s excuse is for being home later than expected – the themes were all ‘my car broke down’ (oil, etc) and definitely not the more realistic smell of blue balls, stripper perfume and baby oil, or the scent of random pussy and lying to your wife. Ahem. Anyway… Their website is intriguing, and lends a new dimension to the sexy librarian fantasy.

Mavericks Gentleman’s Club ostensibly is set in a masculine members-only-style men’s club of yore, the kind where cigars were smoked by the fireplace amidst volumes of books almost as old as the dated geezers doing the huffing and puffing. But what’s neat about it is that it looks pretty cool inside, the dancers are diverse and quite pretty (classic femmes), and one major component is a library. Yes: there are stripper poles in the library. I’m cheesy, so I think that’s cool. Maybe Library Vixen will agree with me.

But if you want to peep some beauty, don’t miss Maverick’s curious and naughty “the good girls guide” (Flash; sound alert). I found it generally kind of hot – here’s an example:

Interestingly, as of this week Mavericks is facing some immediate legal issues. The club hires a lot of foreign women, and Cape Town’s Department of Home Affairs has revoked the club’s permits, putting a lot of women (including at least one single mom) out of work – though DHS asserts it found illegally hired dancers on the premises. Read more about it in Exotic dancers fight to stay at Mavericks.
