Book I’m loving: Making The Hook Up

Pretty much most books about sex and erotica pass through my hands, and I read a lot of erotic fiction and nonfiction. If I don’t get sent new sex books, I find them and borrow them. It’s my passion and my job. The newest collection I’m in love with is Cole Riley’s Making The Hook Up: Edgy Sex With Soul. This collection is so hot it practically burns up the pages, and has a warm, wonderful, playful tone without sacrificing that fact that it definitely delivers explicit sex — but is never crass, crude or stereotypical. Plus, it’s lightly kinky in all the right ways; if you want a hot soul erotica book with a little spanking here and there, I think this book is just delightful. Riley writes in the introduction, “Stories poured in from all over the world, sexual yarns that were not about the Other or the Outsider, but people of color redefined and redeemed in sensual terms.” Thanks to Cleis Press for sending me one right when they hit the shelves.
