  • Google is announcing a change in its policy to fight “revenge porn.” Soon, it will accept requests from people to remove nude or sexually explicit images of themselves shared without their consent from its search results. According to the blog post, Google already accepts requests to remove info like bank account numbers and signatures, and calls this an extension of that “narrow and limited” policy.

  • Annalee Newitz writes, “Two very different approaches to the hackable vibrator are sitting on my workbench/dining room table right now. One, the Master Beta Kit, is a gold bullet vibe attached to an Arduino circuit board, which is in turn attached to my laptop. The other, the Crave Flex, is a sleekly-designed vibrator in matte blue, awaiting my commands as I download a small file to its memory using a web interface.”

Instead of lamenting the stereotypical assumption that female porn stars are sluts, Olson had a very different reason why young women should choose another career path. Olson doesn’t just highlight the issues a woman might face within the porn industry, but the discrimination she’ll most likely experience when she tries to leave it.

  • In the blizzard of Reddit’s fetish vendors, Angie’s just one snowflake. No matter the item — locks of hair, period-stained clothes — there are copycat sellers in triplicate. “There’s nothing unique about what I do,” another woman, Donna, told Mic. “If you look at /r/sexsells, /r/fetishitems, /r/pantyselling, etc., you can find tons of other girls that do the exact same thing.”

  • It’s so incredibly tempting to reveal all the bizarre places Patrick Brice’s new film, The Overnight, takes its audiences, who, if they’re anything like this viewer, will likely watch the film with mouths gleefully agape. The film opens in the bedroom of a couple, Alex and Emily, played by Adam Scott and Taylor Schilling, having banally, routine sex in their brand new Los Angeles bedroom…
