  1. 50 shades of Grey is now number 27 on the NYT best seller list. Has there been a precedent for kinky fiction story being that high on the best seller list? Certainly the Beauty stories went mainstream but it’s not something I’ve followed. I wonder what it says, that BDSM and kink has gone mainstream or the main characters appeals to many. Or good marketing? Now I’ll have to read it although the pseudonym outing was the main reason I followed the story.

Looking at the Tom Tomorrow’s strip, I point to a *too very much real* example. In my country, after several years of sufficient (they had room for improvement but they at least worked) abortion has become now again illegal except in very exceptional cases. This politician provides some sort of “moral” justification:
“Gallardón: There is no truest right for the woman as that of the motherhood”
