  • This week Axel Braun took to crowdfunding site Indiegogo.com to finance his newest and most ambitious venture yet — “The Empire Strikes Back XXX: An Axel Braun Parody” — the sequel to the highest-selling adult movie of all time, “Star Wars XXX.” “I’m trying to do something that has never been done,” Braun said. “I want to make the most amazing porn parody ever, completely funded by fans and sponsors, and then I’m going to give it away for free. There will be no DVDs; it will only be available online, and it will be free for everyone. Forever. No hidden gimmicks; no need to give out your email address; no membership; absolutely nothing but click and watch. Full HD, and fully legal. It’s my way to fight Internet piracy while giving back to the fans, and it’s a bit of a social experiment.”

  • “Elizabeth Holloway Marston was a psychologist, and the wife of fellow psychologist William Moulton Marston, who’s credited with creating Wonder Woman. At least, she was one of his wives, depending on how you look at it. She was his legal wife, to be sure, but the two lived with a third partner, Olive Byrne, and each woman bore two of Marston’s children. … According to Jill Lepore’s Secret History of Wonder Woman, the family was part of a larger “sex cult” that practiced free love and advocated the superiority of women. Lepore also writes that a third woman, Marjorie Huntley, was an occasional member of their household and helped out with the inking and lettering of Wonder Woman comics.”

  • “With Fuller House coming up on Netflix, a porn company has taken it upon itself to create a porn parody of the original nineties sitcom Full House. … The “Full Holes” porn trailer starts out with some good old-fashioned teenage sexual activity between D.J. Tanner and her boyfriend Steve but it gets creepy really quickly when Uncle Joey asks some of the younger members of the house if they want him to pull his dick out. And it’s all downhill from there.”

The Community United for Safety and Protection, a group of current and former sex workers in the state of Alaska, said in a press release today that the bill’s new language would allow people in the sex trades who are the victims or witnesses of crimes like murder, sex trafficking or assault to make reports to the police without being charged with prostitution.

  • “More than three decades into the epidemic, and our HIV outreach efforts are still chronically underfunded. So why do we allow one of the largest HIV organizations in the U.S. to devote millions each year on antisex and antiprevention campaigns that ignore science in favor of shame? It’s time we said enough.”

  • Tech startups are known for their flexible culture, which often involves drinking and partying at the office. But Zenefits, the troubled $4.5 billion startup that recently lost its founder CEO Parker Conrad, may have taken the startup vibe a little too far.

  • The Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN) at the University of Queensland has announced the development of an ultra-thin latex made from a native grass called spinifex. Professor Darren Martin of AIBN said this new material shows great promise in creating condoms with the same strength as existing latex brands but that are considerably thinner—and thus much more comfortable to wear.

  • “Although it’s hard to determine exact numbers, a 2013 report showed that of Tumblr’s 200,000 most-visited blogs, 11.4 percent of them (around 22,775) host adult content. That same analysis found that 16.6 percent of Tumblr’s traffic comes from those X-rated blogs. Keep in mind: of Tumblr’s users, just over half are women, disproportionately young women between 18 and 29. Given these numbers, it’s not surprising that anecdotal evidence points to a growing number of women in their late teens, 20s and 30s who are using Tumblr to find images that will get them off.”

  • “… sex, especially among older people, has long been associated with many physical health benefits, such as lower blood pressure and a decreased risk of heart attacks. But in exploring whether its health benefits extend to cognitive function, a recent study found that while enjoyable, sex doesn’t necessarily prevent mental deterioration.”
