Flickr’d here by my friend Doctor Popular.

Update 05.30: Doc Pop sent me more info on this, posted after the jump.

:: thanks for linking my flier

the LOLCAT flier is part of this thing I’m trying to do
called Memes In Real Life. It’s all influenced by a xeroxed
copy of a poster that said “Missing Dog Head” that I saw ten
years ago. Anyways, if you’d like to know more, here is an
email I’m spreading around:

Hey, thanks for favoriting my LOLCAT flier. I haven’t
posted anything official about it on my blog, but I left a
pretty detailed comment on Jeff Sparkman’s blog
http://siftin.blogspot.com/2008/05/at-first-i-was-like-but-then-i-lold.html

As an experiment, I’m keeping my posts about the fliers to
a minimum, but I’m trying to get the analog copies of the
flier up everywhere, so if you’d like to help, print out
the flier and post it in y’r neighborhood. Feel free to
post it, photo it, create y’r own version etc.

A final note about the phone number, if you call it and
dail 6 from your cellphone, you can forward the number to a
friend. If you do, you will receive a text message with a
link to my nerdcore “lolCat” song for free download.

I’ll be posting one new Meme In Real Life fliers a week for
the next few weeks and see if it grows. If you create
anything, feel free to let me know and tag it with “meme in
real life” or “mirl”
