July 2013

I’m a huge fan of erotic photographer Dave Naz, and over the years I’ve loved sharing his bondage, porny and gloriously artful nudes with you. He’s also a friend – and when he told me he was getting ready to release his series of transgender portrait studies, I was delighted.

This is Naz’s Trans-Positive project, featuring photos and videos of transgender women. He also has a Genderqueer series.

Please contact Dave if you want to be part of this series.

Above is the first video compilation from interviews he did with trans women. I can’t wait for more in the series, and I’ll be sure to share them here as they release.

Do you have UK porn block fatigue? I do, from reading about a hundred million articles about it in the past few days, most of them crappy and hysterical about the concept of porn, or seemingly afraid they might ‘get some on them’ while writing about it. Below are are the best of the week so far, and they’re damn good.

  • Sex addiction may not be a real disorder, according to a new UCLA study. For the first time, UCLA researchers have measured how the brain behaves in so-called hypersexual people who have problems regulating their viewing of sexual images. Researchers measured brain waves in self-reported sex addicts. The scans revealed that their brain’s responses when viewing sexual pictures were not indicative of an addiction.

Seattle based boylesque troupe Mod Carousel nailed it in their role-reversal video of pop song “Blurred Lines” (the song is analyzed really well in Scarleteen’s There are no “Blurred Lines” when it comes to consent). The video [Robin Thicke 'Blurred Lines' sexy boys parody by Mod Carousel] serves a healthy heaping of male cheesecake in its tongue-in-cheek commentary on a song that celebrates ambiguous female sexual consent.

You can download the song on Mod Carousel’s soundcloud page and lyrics are on the video’s YouTube page. Credits:
