• For the second consecutive year, American Apparel has teamed up with GLAAD to release a new line of T-shirts for Pride month. For the first time, the American Apparel LGBT Pride design is both bi and transgender inclusive.

• Scottish campaigners are calling for internet service providers to filter pornographic content amid fears that police are not clamping down on so-called “rape porn”. Organisations and individuals working to eliminate violence against women say not enough is being done to tackle extreme pornography, which became illegal under Scots law in 2011.

• Silvio Berlusconi was handed a seven-year jail sentence on Monday for abuse of office and paying for sex with a minor, adding to the complications facing Italy’s fragile left-right government.

• Porn star Danny Wylde writes about porn sex versus real sex, censorship and porn stars taking on responsibilities for the context of what they do and how it affects the way people learn about sex. “Are we arming the youth? Perhaps not explicitly. We’re not explicitly marketing porn to them either. But kids are interested in sex and they’re smart. They’re going to find porn because it’s there. My hope is that they’ll find the context too. And this is where I feel responsibility shifts to the individual.”

• Gotta love Anna Paquin’s line about the difference between porn and True Blood: Anna Paquin announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live that her favorite tribute to her hit HBO series “True Blood” was New Sensation’s XXX Parody, “Tru,” despite admitting that she’s never seen it.

• Katie Summers has filed a lawsuit against Buttman (John Stagliano) as well as his company, Evil Angel Productions, claiming Stagliano never disclosed he was HIV-positive before co-starring with her in sexual scenes. A rep from Evil Angel out the scene online to show that Stagliano and Summers did not engage in penetrative sex.

• No one knows how to write an exploitative headline like the Mirror. Except maybe the Daily Mail… Regardless, it’s a cool success story and it makes me wish we had a show like Sex Toy Stories in the US.

• Celebrity sex tapes that ‘accidentally’ leak? Yeah, right. The people who really do have sex on camera for a living dish on why these tapes are stupid – but inevitable. (So, can you stop calling them “tapes” now?)

• I missed the release of this; porn short “Occupy” was shot by Shine so it should be excellent. “When an Occupy protester (Maggie Mayhem) dares to strike back at a brutal cop (Kathryn Dupri), the chase is on. Officer Dupri soon finds better uses for her baton, and Maggie’s neither passive nor resistant. But can a cop be trusted? Or is all fair in love and class war?”

• A new study suggests that one night of sleep deprivation leads to an increase in men’s perceptions of both women’s interest in and intent to have sex.
