Eye Candy: Met Art debuts upscale hardcore site Sex Art

Met Art has long been one of the online mainstays for high-end explicit pinup photos and videos (of women). It almost goes without saying that they (and others like Hegre Art) outclassed and outpaced outlets like Playboy, Penthouse and other ‘gentlemen’s magazine’ style channels long ago. I could say a lot about how the online art-babe sites have capitalized on Playboy’s, Hustler’s, Penthouse’s and even Maxim’s and Big Porn’s collective customer service identity crises, but that could be a chapter in another book… And I think you’d all agree.

What I’ve loved about the babe-art sites is that sites – especially Met Art – also managed to combine tasteful with arousing when it would show penetration or surface girl-girl action, yet they never crossed the *complete* line to hardcore action – and never included boy-girl shoots. IMO, that’s where fave X-Art has cleaned up – they show hot, hard, sometimes a bit nasty – but always pretty – porn. X-Art is like porn for those that want their anal as if it were presented, cast, directed and set decorated by Apple.

Maybe Met Art was feeling the heat. Either way I’ve been watching all the fanfare over the past several months about Met’s foray into pornier pastures with Sex Art and I remained skeptical. Until now none of the teasers had anything worth sharing (as in, no real porn to make it work your click) but just now they’ve finally officially launched – and they’ve got galleries worth sending you to.

But here’s the best part – and why I’m most excited about Sex Art. It’s mostly a solo girl site so far. But when there are boy-girl sets… the men are gorgeous.

Tell me what you think:

I’m looking forward to Sex Art adding more material, more hot guys (and girls), and sexy racial diversity… (Ahem.)

  1. I’m pretty sure Met Art made an earlier attempt to go into hardcore porn, but that site either never went public, or was closed down quickly. I’m sure I have some preview pictures somewhere, but my collection is a mess. :-(
Does anybody remember the name of the site…?

  2. I find Sex Art pretty disappointing, overall. I *really* like the thought of the kind of beauties featured on Met-Art turning out for some more racy content, but unfortunately that’s not what Sex Art features, at least video-wise. Their videos, rather, are all LA porn models and, so far, none of the European girls you’d see on Met-Art. So, OK, but X-Art and Joymii still turn out some really nice content, often with LA performers. On that point, still disappointing. I admit to finding a few pirated Sexart videos to see if the site was worth subscribing to – the videos I saw are very much in the X-Art/Joymii vein, but with *much* shorter sex scenes. Usually the video is at least five minutes of stripping and posing and five or less minute highlights of actual sex. It is possible to edit together a very short sex scene that hits all the right notes (the “Shai” porn ads from a few years ago are a good example), but these videos don’t manage that. (On the upside, they have some videos with the lovely Charlotte Stokely, somebody I never get tired of seeing.) OK, some of the photo content is nice and features actual Met-Art models, but it’s really video content that I judge a site on.

The *real* claimant to the mantle of “Met-Art with sex” would be Wowgirls and related sites, which really do shoot some of the same models as Met-Art, such as Beata. Some of their video content is nothing short of amazing. In fact, one of their recent videos, “First Girl-Girl Date” is a serious contender for my favorite piece of pornography ever.

  3. It’s very well shot although the music makes me feel like I’m watching the trailer to Inception. It may be to early to start looking for people of color of a high production value website I will keep an eye out in hopes of being pleasantly surprised.
