As many readers know, I have not kept my critical sex educator opinions and analysis of the so-called G-Shot and its counterpat, Vaginal Rejuvination, either polite or private.

Now UK’s respected sex educator Dr. Petra Boynton has new revelations about both faux procedures, their horrifying consequences, and the troubling role of tabloid media in the real-life effects of trendy and untested genital procedures. It begs the question: who are the people doing these unreviewed procedures, and when will procedures/treatments for sexual pleasure enhancements *finally* be seriously and honestly evaluated for safety and efficacy? From A tragic case of medical misconduct:
(…) I did not systematically continue to campaign against the g-shot because I reasoned even if the media were occasionally (albeit enthusiastically) covering it, I doubted many women would opt for either the g-shot or Laser Vaginal Surgery.
I was wrong.
Last week UK Dr. Phanuel Dartey [represented to media and journalists by Alice Dogruyol representing The Spa PR Company] was struck off by the General Medical Council (GMC).
This followed complaints from five women. The British Medical Journal (16 November) reports Dartey ‘botched laser operations on four women and left another seriously ill after a termination’. It goes on to report from the GMC hearing:
“Patient A was said to have suffered visible scarring and asymmetry of her genitals, although she had been told that the incisions would be nearly invisible. Part of her vagina had been “effectively amputated,” and she required revision surgery (…read more, drpetra.co.uk)

I don’t know how many conversations I’ve overheard where a guy says “Dude! I was just about to have sex with this chick when I saw that her labia were uneven. Total deal killer. Had to bail.” Oh wait, yes I do. None.
Considering the huge amounts of blood flowing from place to place in the groin during arousal and sex, plus taking into consideration how incredibly little we actually know about what does what, and in whom, why on god’s green earth are we taking scalpels or laser beams to the genitals of people?
I can understand if there’s a serious gender-identity issue, but for simple aesthetics? If you want a tighter twat, do Kegels! (in fact if you want a better sex life overall, do Kegels!) So many surgeons just looking for a quick buck, it’s disgusting.
