It's got to the point with the Guardian where (a) I generally don't bother reading anything with Julie Bindel's byline on it, even if it's about fluffy kittens; (b) an anti-sex industry stance has be taken as the starting point for any article headlined as being about porn or sex work, unless I know of the author (as soon as I saw Sandrine Leveque's name associated with the book on the 'truth' about lap dancing it was an instant #fail, as she heads up Object, an anti-porn/sex industry lobbying group). One article by Tanith Carey about women consuming online porn was so bad, I regret not reporting it to the paper's reader's editor for the inaccuracies, fear-mongering and overall dishonesty. It's such a pity, as like you I like the paper for what it does - yet time and again when it comes to sexuality and sexual behaviour it keeps screwing up.
