Dirty Highlights of the Mapping Stereotypes Project

by Violet Blue on November 18, 2011

By following The Sexademic on Twitter I found a post about the Mapping Stereotypes Project, which includes The Ultimate Bigot’s Calendar of the World (and some beautiful stuff on their Zazzle store, as well as items like the above Europe According to Gay Men poster). It especially piques my interest not only for the dark humor, but because I’ve been spending extra time lately looking at where visitors to this website are coming from and playing with traffic maps. It’s all nerdy fun.

Anyway, I think you’ll like these. I picked out the dirtier ones for you, but do go look for your country’s stereotypes on the Mapping Stereotypes Project main page. I didn’t include the penis size map of Europe because it’s not very exciting. (No puns intended.)

The London Times named Violet Blue "One of the 40 bloggers who really count" and Self Magazine named TinyNibbles one of the “Best Sex Resources for Women.” Blue is an autodidact and pundit on sex and technology, hacking and security, porn for women, privacy and bleeding-edge tech culture. She is a journalist for ZDNet, CBS News, CNET; she's an educator, speaker, crisis counselor, volunteer NGO trainer, and the author and editor of over 40 award-winning books.
