Is the procedure medically beneficial? Maybe, maybe not. The practice was established thousands of years ago when the rest of the world was none too conscious about personal hygiene. As to the downside: reduced sensitivity? Personally I don’t know what it’s like to grow up with a foreskin; but I do know that if you put your mouth on me, I still squirm with pleasure. Is it medically *necessary*? Almost certainly not. So what?? This is not female castration we’re talking about here.
