[Video] Love Exposure, Trailer

by Violet Blue on September 1, 2011

I am being pulled out of the bungalow to go see Japanese film Love Exposure this weekend (because YAY all the burning man rich hipster hippies are gone and the streets are safer). The film looks really cool, with a protagonist that is compelled to sin in the eyes of Jesus to have something to repent for, while becoming the master of the upskirt panty photo shot – and falling for a girl that knows how to tempt him but is saving herself for Jesus Christ and Kurt Cobain in equal measure. Lots of hot girls in panties that kick ass, cute Japanese boys with magnitudes of sexual frustration, fight scenes with swords and Matrix style bullet scenes… Yes, I’ll go :)

Saw it a two years ago and that movie is great, it’s length is not even an issue. Shion Sono makes pretty remarkable films, even if you hate them. The main character dresses in drag as Black Scorpion at one point.

Oh, yummy. Japanese guys. Cute Japanese guys that take photos of upskirts. *mentally taking photos of cute Japanese guys taking photos for my own delicious perversion*

At least where I live (on the East Coast), there’s a huge overlap between the sex-positive and burner communities. I’d ask about the rationale behind the sneering, but once someone pulls out the h-word there’s a kind of Godwin effect and not much more point to discussion.
