So... I didn't read the whole circumcision study, but how is it that the fact that only 5% of Danish men are circumcised isn't an important part of the conclusions? In a country where it's that uncommon, wouldn't we expect that the people who are circumcised are either from an appropriate religious background (this was addressed, and the results were robust) OR that their parents may have had a more conservative, traditionalist approach to sexuality that may have affected their own development? I agree with L. F. that neurological research would be helpful, but how about controlling for upbringing beyond religious affiliation?

I'm surprised that the main sexual side-effect wasn't delayed ejaculation. I frequent sex forums both in Polish (almost no one cut) and English. It's only on the latter that I've seen guys writing that they can't come from a blow-job. I know there is a lot of confirmation bias, but I still feel that scientists should design a study to examine it.

Perhaps what's needed is a study mapping brain stimulation of men who have undergone circumcision, compared to those who haven't. That might help us understand how circumcision affects male sensation much more accurately.

I wonder if there is a converse effect to the orgasm difficulties reported in circumcised men due to reduced sensitivity? Do uncut men tend to not last as long due to increased sensitivity? Seems logical.

I wonder where I fall? I've got a short foreskin, apparently a genetic condition shared by males in my family. Never had a problem achieving orgasm or an erection really, and the idea of infant genital surgery just creeps me out, for males Or females. As long as you have access to decent washing options (which how much of the US population has), why would you do this? Surely the AMA should actually take a stand against it
