I wondered about STI’s and the handlers. Peoples squeamishness about the topic in general is why we don’t have it yet. Would bacteria survive the splitting of plastic and metal? Seems unlikely but it looked the sorters might be wearing regular work gloves and not the disposable kind. People that recycle their sex toys also wash them beforehand, right?

And yes we need to do it here.

MyPleasure looked into it for awhile, but there were many issues – one of which was not knowing what sex toys were always made from which is a common issue sex toy consumers have. I’m sure we will revisit this in the future.

When I worked at Early to Bed we accepted sex toys for recycling and sent them out to be recycled free of charge. Around Earth Day we would often incentivize it with coupon offers. When I packed my bags for California I had a LOT of sex toys to get rid of so I gave them to E2B for recyling.

You pass a law requiring them to do it. It sometimes helps with the feasilbiity if the your politicians can blame someone else for making them pass the law.
