Sasha Grey Neu Sex

  • I had no idea until I read this that Julia Allison had been targeted for allegedly being a blowjob queen. Things would be a lot more exciting around Sili Valley if it were actually true. Trust me: observing sex culture and tech culture simultaneously most of my adult life has shown me that Silicon Valley has nothing on real sluts. Read Rachel Kramer Bussel‘s great article: Slut Shame: Why Do We Still Attack Women for Having Sex? (AlterNet)
  • Oh, AshelyMadison.com – journos who love sensationalist story pitches love your site. This one is like junk food: lots of artificial sexual stereotypes (natural flavor) and dramatic chemical additives (‘coloring’) so you have to consume it with the usual caveats: One woman goes undercover on dating site for cheaters (MSNBC/TODAY.com)
  • Hey, Sasha’s book might be cool – I hope to check it out soon. And I don’t usually link to list linkbait but this new one fits the theme and it’s strangely interesting: A Recent History of Porn Stars Who Wrote Memoirs – put article into Readability to get all ten pages on one page, no ads, with images – (Flavorwire)

  1. Yeah, the rest of my caveat for the MSNBC piece was to continue the “junk food” allegory saying that before the first bite you know that eating it will make you feel kinda sick afterward – but I figured you’d get it.

  2. For Ashley Madison, the next investigative report could ask the question about how many spouses already know their partner is using the site. Many members there freely admit it and even more note they are in a stable marriage but just need more, like a husband who can get it up.

  3. Thanks as ever for the links… I found the Ashley Madison piece a particularly appalling piece of the kind of opinionated nonsense that sadly now passes for mainstream reportage. Am reminded of Charlie Brooker’s view of the media from last week’s 10’oclock show here in the UK: ‘With their need for drama, the Media lapped it all up like a thirsty dog at a Bukakke party’.
