Photography by J. Caldwell

by Violet Blue on April 30, 2011

North Carolina photographer J. Caldwell has so many visual moods, it was difficult to select a single image to represent this work with: this is the front page of J. Caldwell’s Tumblr, Neither Here Nor There. But I think the archives are a much easier to parse gallery, and have lots of animal masks, tattoos, and at least one naked girl with a chainsaw. He has a non-nude series called Droidaroids that I think are Polaroid style photos taken with his Android, and I’d like to know what app he’s using if that’s the case. And for chemical structure nerds that also happen to enjoy nudity, check out his Chemical Bonds series – you see, Caldwell has a PhD in neurobiology.

Violet Blue

The London Times named Violet Blue "One of the 40 bloggers who really count" and Self Magazine named TinyNibbles one of the “Best Sex Resources for Women.” Blue is an autodidact and pundit on sex and technology, hacking and security, porn for women, privacy and bleeding-edge tech culture. She is a journalist for ZDNet, CBS News, CNET; she's an educator, speaker, crisis counselor, volunteer NGO trainer, and the author and editor of over 40 award-winning books.

You totally had me at ‘one naked girl with a chainsaw’. Having finally got back to the rest of your post after that, thank for another great photographer to keep an eye on!
