Thank you for the perspective. This is the other reason why I really like your blog (the first one being all the eye candy and sex positive gems you harvest on the (not so) dryland of the Internet).

The author decided that by giving up watching porn for four days that it must be porn that is the problem. There are so many factors at play here. Maybe it’s his trying to have sex with random people whenever he gets the chance, which is kind of what it sounded like.

And to the complaints of men being raised on porn, I say just make better porn.

I’m married and monogamous. The ideas garnered from good porn have been appreciated. If “addiction” is what causes morning wood, well, oh darn.

If anything, the lack of good porn is a problem.

Media in general? Um, I’m watching Al Jazeera right now. There are plenty of opportunities for pre-judgements to expose themselves. Particularly once you compare coverage between media outlets.

*Media* is the crucial word. There is nothing in that word related to people. It’s the mechanism through which ideas are exposed. Never confuse media with the idea, even though that appears to happen often.

Porn is not going to make someone unable to have healthy relationships. It’s something we use when the time is right. IF you’re having relationship problems, you need to examine what needs are being met v. your wants as a person. Sometimes it’s just about being honest with yourself.
