Design Your Own Sex Toys: Made to Pleasure Boutique

Made to Pleasure custom sex toys

This is so many kinds of cool.

Made to Pleasure is an online boutique where visitors can design their own sex toys – insertable, non-vibrating items in clear acrylic, silver or gold plating. The site is aimed at female shoppers (with a page on female sexual anatomy for pleasure), to illustrate why they’re against the one-size-fits-all approach central to the wider sex toy industry. I agree with that, based on experience – when I worked at a retail sex toy shop, one of the most common things I said to shoppers was, “It’s more like one size fits some.” I don’t think this great boutique should be considered only for women, though.

Made to Pleasure’s Made to Measure online design suite is a lot of fun to play with – though the end results, if you order them, are quite pricey. Seeing as they you get *exactly* what you want and the toys are in top-shelf, body-safe, nonporous materials, it’s where you’re getting what you pay for. Imagine how cool it would be if you could order silicone dildos, silicone plugs and vibrators like this! Don’t miss a visit to the design suite, though, so you can nerd out like I did on all the configurations of points, size comparisons to objects like lipstick and bananas, and object variations.

  1. What a great idea.

For several years now, I’ve been on a quest for my ideal toys… and mostly unsatisfied… mostly however, mind you, delighted to try it…. and try it again… and try it again…. ;-) … hardly the whole time thinking I could do better, but the pangs are there, before my grip tightens, my breath shortens, my heart races…

Oh… silicone… why can’t you feel more like glass? Oh Glass… why can’t you flex?

And damn…..WTF is with all the wimpy vibes? I want POWER POWER POWER (..::best monster truck pull ad voice::…). If it’s not numb when I’m done,….

  2. Coolest… thing… EVER!!!

Yeah, the prices are incredibly steep, but I could see it as a wonderful wedding/ anniversary present. Hmm… wonder if they’ll do engravings on the gold or silver ones?
