Once, long ago in my misspent youth, I ran across a "scientific journal" called the Worm Runner's Digest. One of the "papers" discussed an experiment to use Pavlovian conditioning to train a group of men to ejaculate upon the ringing of a bell. The paper considered the experiment a success, but noted parenthetically that there had been unforeseen consequences, most notably having to do with the chimes on the campus clock which rang every fifteen minutes, day and night.
