My Geek Gift Suggestions on ZDNet – Gadgets Plus Buttery Dancing Girls

by Violet Blue on November 26, 2010

I love writing for ZDNet/CBSi. I really, really hope they keep me. Today: Gifts That Keep On Giving: Offbeat Gadgets, Toys and Tech. Contains an aggressive octopus, cool gadgets, a story about dancing girls and a few gallons of melted butter vs. a Lumix point and shoot, LOLcats, stocking stuffers for practical nerds, zombies, a very hip guide to Tokyo, and one fab green tech item. Oh, and a quadrocopter for your iPad.

Seriously: the things on this list that I don’t have are things I really want. The above and below photos are from the night of the buttered dancers versus the Lumix. Isn’t ZDNet fun?

Thank you for the camera recommendation! I’ve had Lumixes before, but the less expensive ones. I have been looking for an amazing point and shoot and love the Panasonic brand (they are one of the few that have glass lenses, I’ve been told), but wanted a step up from the last one I had. Your timely post helped me make the decision, and the octopus video sold me. Panasonic should pay that guy a million dollars and turn that video into a commercial!!
