In Natural Light: Dita Circa 2007

I think 2007 is about the time I stopped hating on Dita and started to enjoy her lifestyle; I just always found the burlesque gimmickry a bit obvious for my personal taste. This photo shoot is when she did Blender Magazine (Mariah Kina) in January 2007, and I think this is when I started to enjoy what she wore offstage, thus enjoying her — case in point here would be the shoes, which I really, really want. This shoot is stunning because it has a natural feel, making it a nice Sunday treat. It’s not all that natural, of course — while we love her with bare lips and light-kissed skin, I still have to mention the blowout that looks exactly like the wig I want to wear to Gnomedex after-parties in two weeks, and her lashes are those ‘for the love of Tammy Faye’ spider-legs we’ve come to admire on Southern ladies of a certain age. Oh, and the fur = we do not approve. Still, it’s a yummy gallery. See the tagset here on Flickr or the rest of them after the jump. (Thanks, A!)
