The comment from Steve that availability of porn = not getting porn removed/blocked/filtered from the internet anytime soon is incredibly negligent.
These groups (FAP, et al) focus all of their time and dollars moving politicians and legislation around in an effort to restrict people's access to "questionable content" through smaller pieces of legislation. Just look at what has happened in Australia for an idea of how conservatives in America want to deal with pornography (and more). These groups need to be fought with the same tenacity that they use to fight against our personal freedoms under the guise of Saving The Children and Women. I don't see any bigger threat to my rights than someone restricting my access to information...I don't care how small their group is; if they have enough interest to have a hosted convention, that means they have some amount of dollars in their pockets.

It would appear that in light of the availability of porn on the Internet, the FAP ladies don't have a prayer of doing anything to stop it. Aren't there more serious threats to our personal freedoms to worry about?

Good post. One wonders how a anti-porn self proclaimed feminist would explain why they find themselves on the same side of this issue as islamic fundamentalists.

I need to figure out how to make a video that says, "I watch porn, and I support women watching porn or indeed anything else they damn well feel like; but seriously, people, we need some better porn up in here because Ted Sturgeon was right and 90% of it is utter crap."
