Anyone remember Natasha Merritt (link: sound alert)? A long time ago she took artistic, erotic digital self-photography so far that she ended up in a really arousing, beautiful, classic Tashen book called Digital Diaries. I kind of think that few have come close to the level she achieved since then, though I love each and every variation on the theme. Girls who make an art of shooting themselves are a genre to be reckoned with. And it’s only getting more interesting.
All this musing leads me to show you my latest discovery — the girl in the above photo — and the thing I think is really exciting about her style: she uses Apple’s Photo Booth application to take all of her shots though the camera on her laptop. And she does an amazing job. Going by the clever name Seizure Chavez on Flickr, she’s a Bay Area girl who loves teasing the hell out of her cult following, and will indeed pose in items that fans buy for her. She writes, “due to the amount of weird/rude/no thanks sir messages i get, i’m going to post my amazon wish list and not feel bad about it. send me something special and i’ll return the favor.” I love her. I think she’s totally, totally sexy… I love the glasses and the come-hither look. She’s really pretty… yum! And that’s quite the back bend in the first picture!
