Let’s just say that these films would make a certain anti-porn feminist-identified troll rust out her chastity belt. Or switch sides. When Good For Her posted the nominations for their annual Feminist Porn Awards, I was excited to discover hot new faces in the exploding world of female-fueled porn. (Which should be distinguished is indie. Mainstream porn outlets like to say they make female-fueled porn but typically dress up the same old thing “with romance” and softened sex, or make the usual product and slap a woman’s name on it, critical fails all around). Now that the awards have happened, the winners have been announced and they are quite remarkable. Congrats, winners!
Case in point with the trailer (above) for winner of Best Dyke Porn and Best Kink Porn — Kathryn Annelle’s River Rock Women’s Prison (from Triangle Films). It looks amazing, way more edgy that I was able to imagine, and it stars Justine Jolie, Syd Blakovich, Ariel X, Jada Fire, Adrianna Nicole, Marie Luv and more. Nice to see the lesbian prison porn trope obliterated with such real and raw female sexuality. Don’t get me wrong — I love my bad lesbo B-movies like junk food, but I’m happy to trade any lame duck Where The Boys Aren’t #47 for River Rock.
Jiz Lee (Boundary Breaker 2010, yay!) wrote a great postcard from the FPA’s. Super jealous that Jiz got to wear Five and Diamond for the awards and a vibrating Droplet Necklace. ::envy::
