At the entertaining audio site Porn For The Blind, one can listen to dramatic readings of Bang Bros. porn, ostensibly for the sight impaired to enjoy. That’s a lot of fun, but not to be confused with a whole new kind of ‘porn for the blind’ — it looks like thermoform artist and photographer Lisa J. Murphy’s hands-on porn for the blind book project is becoming retail-accessible. Tactile Mind is “a handmade thermoform book consisting of 17, 2-D tactile photographs on white thermoform plastic pages with the visual image and descriptive Braille accompaniment.” The pages can also be bought separately on Murphy’s site.
Telegraph UK is the main cite for this story, but they’re misreporting it as a magazine. Still, it’s great, even though I think that overall the masked and faceless people are kinda creepy. In a sexy way. Mostly.

I was reading about this earlier in the week. Firstly, the £150 price tag made me choke on my coffee. :(
Also looking at the publicly displayed images from inside the book, I find the lack of faces to be quite sad. The face is one of the most intimate parts of the body and so important during sex. Taking that element away makes me feel quite disheartened.
Still, must remember that this is a first attempt, a prototype….the primary edition and the ethos behind it is marvellous :)
*grin* that second image looks a lot like a woman with a bag over her head and oven mitts… you sure that content didn’t also come from the Bang Bros? ;)
