stuff about me

* Today’s post on Laughing Squid was a lot of fun to write, and I’ll admit to watching the video three times. And then three more times when dotBen came over. Here is The Social Media Guru.

* I was quoted on the San Francisco Appeal about the SF Chronicle/SF Gate’s contradictory linking/crediting practices online (or lack of). More controversy, as I am indeed their columnist.

* I’ve been in talks about making an appearance on a seriously notable TV show. Soon. I’ll keep you posted here. It’s extremely exciting.

* Today I sent in my proposed talks and panels for Yale next year. This is set. They invited me; it’s so awesome. As soon as I get dates/times I’ll do a writeup.

* Tonight dotBen and I are going over to the house of NOPA‘s sweet and snarky Linecook to do a podcast with Hot Food Porn. Hooray! You will feel the love in the room.

* Tomorrow I’ll be on the Arse Elektronika panel Of Hypercrotch and Nanobot at 8pm, ParisSoMa.

* On October 15th I’ll be reading for San Francisco’s literary festival Litquake at Supperclub in San Francisco in lingerie on a bed with Rachel Kramer Bussel, Stephen Elliott, David Henry Sterry, and a couple others. It allegedly starts at 5:45pm. I’ve talked Litquake into doing a spanking booth for charity. Any hot girls who want to help me do a quick spanking demo, email me.

* On October 16th I’ll be keynoting VideoCamp SF onstage with Eon McKai. It will be a *very* interesting discussion. I probably should get them the bio and photo they requested… :D

I think there’s more. But it’s almost podcast time; must go to Linecook’s house now! Otherwise, I am less thrilled about Paris right now, but still excited about London in December. We’ll see what happens. But I’m already way too excited about SXSW next year. I guess I’m a certifiable dork.

Please take it easy on Letterman, he’s having a rough patch.

Congratulations on finding your voice on the linking issue, Violet. It takes a lot of nerve to bite the hand that feeds you, even when it’s the right thing to do. Keep fighting the good fight!
