UK sexmap

by violet blue on September 8, 2009

In my inbox greeting me with tea and biscuits this morning was the lovely, new UK Sexmap (lovehoney.co.uk). It’s entirely enjoyable, interactive, extremely interesting, and very watchable. In explore you can use the map to add venues, see what people are buying (enter postcodes or cities), compare towns and more. I love the hotspots transposed on the Google map, and the little map marker hearts. Awww. And everyone says they leave their heart in San Francisco. That may be true, but part of mine is certainly in London.

Nice find and like you say very interesting. Where I live in Eastbourne we apparently spend 2.7 times the national average on Sexy Shoes & Boots!

Being the nurdy scientist I am, I was wondering what makes the good people of Upminster consume 16.5 times the national average of porn DVD’s. Maybe they don’t have the internet, but then Wikipedia gave me the answer. Apparently Upminster arose from ‘hornchurch’ Urban District in 1934, see.
