Peter Saville’s soft furnishings

by Violet Blue on August 12, 2009

For the July issue of Wallpaper Magazine, SHOWstudio published their own gallery — and multiple videos — of the final Soft Furnishings editorial devised by Nick Knight and Peter Saville. Above is a sample: the three-minute ‘Making Of’ short with plenty of saucy peeks at the nekkid action behind the scenes of Peter Saville’s “Erotic House”, combining very artsy BDSM furniture with a lot of high-gloss forniphilia. The other videos are short, delicious pieces of erotic art all on their own. (via Unscathed Corpse)

I like this comment: “in a way you are not just producing objects to be part of your sex-life, but you are sexualizing the whole of your environment, so that the way some suede might join some marble, or a piece of cool glass might join a piece of crystal, the little nuances, the little subtleties between materials can actually become very sexual. I think that’s what we are trying to look at here.”
