I agree that porn made to be porn can't truly be gratuitous by nature. but you have to admit (and this is my feeling) that "gratuitous post of porn" doesn't have the same ring in a subject line, even if it's 'more' correct. I call them gratuitous in the sense that they — the posts themselves, why I keep the word “post” in the subject — are flamboyantly unnecessary. not the porn itself.
