That dinner sequence had me postulating that it was lifted from "your last movie". But having seen the movie a gazillion times, I immediately let that notion go.Salo' is one of my favorite movies of all time and the so-called perversity that happens (S & M and murder) is on another echelon psychologically speaking than most films that explore said topics.. In the end, most people wouldn't want to be held prisoner, degraded like animals and then slaughtered for the amusement and sexual gratification of Fascist thugs. But The Upper Floor is somewhat reminiscent of Salo' despite the obvious differences in consensuality and what happens to the participants in the end.........
