hot new erotica reviews: American Cool and steampunk pr0n

It’s almost obligatory for me to point you to the new review for Cecilia Tan’s collection of steampunk themed erotica, “Like A Wisp Of Steam.” (It’s available on Kindle now, but has a Spring ’09 pub date.) I’m on the fence about it, of course, but reviewer Kathleen Bradean really liked it. And it gave me an excuse to finally post the Nina Kate Bizarre Magazine steampunk shoot, which is very stylish and fetishy and overall full of yum (link includes a behind the scenes video). Also in Erotica Revealed’s just-posted slew of reviews, “American Cool” by Susan DiPlacido isn’t a new release, but Steven Hart’s fresh review of it makes me want to go pick up a copy, if not for the really hot cover then certainly for Hart’s high praise of DiPlacido’s erotic stylings. Neat.

Ummm.. that isn’t at all steampunk. More cyber/goth punk. More like some “culture” magazine trying to cash in on a fad it knows nothing about, and getting it embarrassingly wrong.
