It was a simple yet alluring photograph of a divine looking woman with black straps sort of around her body. It is so ironic that that little picture stuck out to me like a sore thumb. That photo had such a sense of artfulness and beauty that just jumped out at me above all the other images on the side. Quite amazing how sometimes one tiny image can do this. The pictures have an elegance and sensuality that is sometimes missing from this genre. In addition ,I have to comment on Aria Giovanni. She has quite a remarkably dazzling effect on anything she works on . She has the voluptuousness of an Italian film star married with the mystique of a Gothette. How uniquely suited is this beauty to these photographs.... The use of color in that picture with the painted body(almost like an Egyptian motif) and the blue background is sheer nirvana. The composition of the photo where she has the rope being tied around her is perfect. The green colored background , the "designer golden necklaces"and the purple colored ropes betray the eye of a painter if anything. It has the feel of "fetish wear meets high fashion" so to speak. That said, I'm afraid I've never been able to get into Blake's movies – his video work is pretty much still photography with a little bit of motion plus music and some ambient sound added. Personally, that leaves me cold, and I find that I need the element of real time and sound to really bring me into it. I remember Susie Bright writing a review of Blake's movies that said something similar. Still, he must be doing something right, because he's got a huge fanbase and his videos have kept selling for the last 20 years. In fact, with the possible exception of his antithesis, Max Hardcore, he's easily the most identifiable porn director out there, both in terms of name recognition and style.
