ceramic Nyotaimori by Hiroshi Tsunoda

by violet blue on April 3, 2009

Nyotaimori is “body sushi” or “female body presentation” — the practice/art of eating sushi off of (typically) a woman’s body. Designer Hiroshi Tsunoda created this wonderful double triptych of male and female body sections in such a way that if one wanted, one could even mix and match body sections for maximum fun. The soy sauce pools in all the right places, and you don’t have to worry about the comfort of your models. Yes, I know, the male bits are all Ken-doll, but it’s still a fun idea and I’d love to own a set of each. (via LikeCool, Available at Design Code’s webstore, €45.00 each plate, thanks, Praemedia!)
