darlings of the Love Design exhibition

Image and lamp discovery via Homotography

The Love Design exhibition is a show I wish I could see: in Milan, Italy April 22-27, the erotic-themed work of 20 outstanding designers will be on display, from the Love Design book (set for April release). Unfortunately there are no sneak peeks on the Love Design site, but lucky for us, there’s a giant post with lots of exciting photos about it here on Dezeen. My favorite is Matteo Cibic who created erotic jewelry that is very pretty, and also what I think are the most remarkable hidden household fittings for silicone dildos. One is a lamp, where once the dildo is removed the lamp turns down to a soft romantic rose shade, and the other is the fishbowl. Talk about a subtle way to always be ready. Just toss a pair of panties over the fishbowl for privacy. Poor fish!

Also, there is a curious item from JimmyJane in the show, a collaboration with designer Arik Levy called “Powered by JimmyJane”, combining organic wood with the sleek metal vibes for a cool effect.

I am also completely enamored with the champagne bottle topper by Philippe di Meo from his Souper Fin collection (don’t miss the videos on the Souper Fin site):
