Local treasure, The Extra Action Marching Band tore the roof off The Independent last night and let me shake my beaded booty with them — I shot great live video via Qik, embedded below. I’m upset that when I woke up this morning, two of the videos had been marked “private” without my informed consent, even though they are *non-explicit* and simply feature burlesque dance. I have marked them un-private, and will rely that either it was a fluke, or that Qik — like Flickr and all the other public services I use for media — will trust that I know the difference between NSFW and not. I like Qik and I endorse their service, and want to keep that relationship mutual. What I shot of Extra Action last night was far cleaner than, say, when they perform with David Byrne (and for that I apologize). Let’s all have fun now…
