hometown hero: Sean Penn’s acceptance speech

by Violet Blue on February 23, 2009

Sean Penn (Marin resident, BTW) won “Best Actor” for Milk, which, by the way, is required viewing. In his speech, he calls out the people who stood outside the Oscars with their anti-gay signs. I don’t know what’s more moving, his speech or the audience crying (emoting).

Meanwhile, via The Sex Carnival: GA court tells gay dad he cannnot “expose” kids to homosexuals “A gay man in the US state of Georgia is disputing a child custody agreement restriction which prohibits him from “exposing his children to his homosexual partners and friends.”
