You know i was thinking about it, was it self censored by the label or did they actually get told it had to be censored.

I only wonder because I know iTunes would never have asked to censored it so that really would only leave I guess MTV (do they still play music videos?)

So they censored that why? It seemed pretty tame to me. I could see some anti-porn feminists dislike the hand around Hilary’s throat and her being in a position of submission at the standing man’s feet but it didn’t seem extreme by any means.

NIN was a lot more explicit than that.

I was so distracted by her awesome makeup that I didn’t notice anything risque. the touches of purple eyeshadow when she’s on the dining table are brilliant and I love when her lip gloss looks haphazard – so hot. Like violet’s chipped black nailpolish – yum!

Im confused. What the hell was so controversial about that? Closer was a hell of a lot more dirty in clean and directors versions (and I would willingly make the argument the clean version is in fact dirtier in its implied nature of things). Hell anything Trent put out 95 and earlier was dirty as hell and got airplay on 120 minutes.

Have we really become that prudish where a former disney teen sucking on thumbs and having a guy hold her neck is in fact almost porn?
