sex + design : Michael Young’s Sabar

Michael Young‘s Sabar is by no means a new designer sex toy, seeing as how it was launched last year and we’re fast approaching the end of this one. Yikes. Anyway, I read about Young (whose works have been everywhere from the Louvre, to designing barware for Schweppes and even interior design for a plastic surgery clinic) making a high-end vibe, but hadn’t yet seen it commercially available. Until I stumbled across the Sabar on Charles and Marie, where they have a sweet designer sex accessory section. I was simply on the site considering a couple of AK-47 ice trays and wishing the brass knuckle pasta measurer was still in stock (thanks, Ariel). Yet after a bit of research, I saw that at Young’s Tokyo opening for the launch of the Sabar, he created a stunning “love chandelier” with 350 Sabar vibes hung in a beautiful heart shape:
