I am surprised no one posted this one yet…the first time I saw this, I was in college and so inebriated I couldn’t believe it was on American network television. You also have no idea what this commercial is for until the very end.

I laughed out loud when I first saw them, partly because of the absurdity of two condoms fucking each other but also because it looks so damn realistic! If you got a good artist and drew the appropriate body parts on them, they’d probably look like miniature real dolls…=/ Despite that rather odd correlation, I think it’s one of the funnest sexy ad campaigns I’ve seen in quite a while. Hope you enjoy it too!

I hate that this clip is clearly from one of those cheesy “Naughty Commercials” TV Shows but I do remember just loving the not-so-subtle imagery (mmmmm peas). Plus, like Susan’s mouth-watering French Fruit campaign….. it has the added power of combining TWO luscious pleasures. Fucking AND food!

The Iron Bed Company here in the UK once had huge window posters featuring a picture of one of their beds, with “GIVE HER ONE” written underneath :)

It was probably late 90′s, and I’m afraid I don’t have a photo, but it’s easily the biggest innuendo I’ve seen in a mainstream marketing campaign.

For this week’s contest, I’m going to go with a book I have on my shelf, called “XXX: The Power of Sex in Contemporary Design” (available on Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/XXX-Power-Contemporary-Design-Graphic/dp/1564969479/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1222051031&sr=8-1). It’s a great look at how sex has been used in all kinds of campaigns, from subtle to downright explicit, and how sex and sexy images can range from mainstream to not-so-mainstream. And as a bonus: the cover is made of black rubber. I highly recommend it!
