Last thursday I had a total blast with Tristan Taormino. We went to lunch and for the first time, had time to just chat, and we really really hit it off. I LOVE her. She’s funny, animated, tells gangbang stories way too loud in Mission hipster restaurants (which is an asset in any friend, I think), is crazy-excited about the sex-positive work we do and is one of the warmest and most passionate people I’ve hung out with in a long, long time. I just wanted to keep hanging out with her. So I did. After lunch I went to the hotel where she’d wrangled three stars from her recent film Chemisty 4 and I shot a couple of videos — and I have to say, I’ve never seen or heard performers talk about the sex they had for a film so longingly. When I was leaving, Sinnamon Love just sort of looked at me and reflected that she’d never enjoyed doing a film that much and that it took her a few months to really come down from the experience. Wow. Then I ran home and missed their release party while I got ready, then met up with everyone again for dinner at Foreign Cinema, along with Susie Bright and a few others. Dinner conversation was exciting and inspiring: so many brilliant people at one table talking about sex… so amazing. Yes yes, Would have been nice to have joined you guys for the dinner part and perhaps after. What fun, maybe next time.
