Last thursday I had a total blast with Tristan Taormino. We went to lunch and for the first time, had time to just chat, and we really really hit it off. I LOVE her. She’s funny, animated, tells gangbang stories way too loud in Mission hipster restaurants (which is an asset in any friend, I think), is crazy-excited about the sex-positive work we do and is one of the warmest and most passionate people I’ve hung out with in a long, long time. I just wanted to keep hanging out with her. So I did. After lunch I went to the hotel where she’d wrangled three stars from her recent film Chemisty 4 and I shot a couple of videos — and I have to say, I’ve never seen or heard performers talk about the sex they had for a film so longingly. When I was leaving, Sinnamon Love just sort of looked at me and reflected that she’d never enjoyed doing a film that much and that it took her a few months to really come down from the experience. Wow. Then I ran home and missed their release party while I got ready, then met up with everyone again for dinner at Foreign Cinema, along with Susie Bright and a few others. Dinner conversation was exciting and inspiring: so many brilliant people at one table talking about sex… so amazing.
