Whether by ebook, DVD, website, or old fashioned paper, self-distribution offers a chance for creators to make more money on fewer copies (or more money on more copies,) while opening up the range of information and entertainment that can be offered to the market in a profitable manner. Maybe not as fun as saying "Random House" or "Miramax" at the next cocktail party, but quite possibly more profitable: Book Deal? Distro Deal?
