It was very surreal — just after reading this here, I attended a regional Burning Man event this weekend where one of the theme camps played Machine Girl to a live soundtrack produced by two DJs. It was a great experience and suffice to say I can only second your recommendation for this ridiculous, over the top, gratuitously glorious movie.
