Right around the corner is a FANTASTIC dessert place called Heaven Sent Desserts...good coffee and amazing sweets in a very nice atmosphere. North Park/Normal Heights isn't exactly the Lower Height, but it is a close as we come in "America's Finest City". Enjoy your time here Violet! Remember, they picked you to speak at this conference. Granted, a lot of the other speakers and attendees do make more money than you now, but with time, experience and growing reputation for being very thorough in your research, writings and knowledge, they money will come. Just keep up your ethics and passion. As a PR flack having had to pimp high tech wonks to speak at different tech conferences over the years, I can attest to the fact Forbes has rather higher standards than some others conferences.
