head trip: the trailer

by violet blue on January 12, 2008

I do see the irony that when I post about something *not* sex-related, I need to let my readers know. The video above is SFW!

It’s a little more personal, and a whole lot San Francisco. To say that John Law is a close personal friend is a huge understatement about our friendship and history — but this film (about to be screened locally) is his baby. Head Trip documents the trek of three locally salvaged Doggie Diner heads across America to… see the sights, culminating in New York. They bring the Cyclecide Bike Rodeo along (more friends I regard with much affection and shared history), and it looks like an iconic cult film has been made. Watch the trailer above, it has a nice feel to it. And you get to see one of my best friends in the whole world — John — talk, which is neat because for so many years he has been a quiet, hidden figure behind many significant historical counter culture movements. When that guy really lays down his stories… wow. (Brag: I snuck into his bachelor party dressed as a man. Fooled a few, I think.)
