certainly part of the sex and robots discussion

Over at Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (and a bunch of tech blogs as well), they report that the makers of the Robosapien are going to be unleashing Femisapien as part of a new bot line at CES next week. She’s matronly looking and seemingly as docile as their dog-bot (actually, moreso). AIR tells us,

The FemiSapien robot, a sophisticated humanoid interactive friend with distinctly fluid movements, features elegant gestures and dance moves controlled only by her 4-way joystick hands. She also features infrared, audio, and tilt sensors that enable her to synchronize her dance moves to music. The FemiSapien robot even speaks her own language of emotive sounds — and responds to users’ gestures, touch and sound.

But they leave out the most important, and downplayed bit about her — she also has the ability to control other robots. Making her a true Fembot. In which case, I expect her to come with high heels, a whip, and a snap-on Bettie Page wig. After the jump, I’ve embedded a video of a very similar, unidentified female robot doing the sexy walk… Check it out (and email me if you can ID her; thanks for the video, IDG tech friend!).
