baby, it’s cold outside: naughty needles burlesque

by Violet Blue on November 13, 2007

I don’t know about the rest of you, but it’s been rather chilly around San Francisco — getting darker and colder and definitely feeling like it’s about to get all wintery and gloomy here. I’m piling on the extra blankets (and extra minions) this week, but last night I got to thinking about knitwear. Last December I wrote about Naughty Needles for my Chron column, which is still one of the sexiest books on my bookshelf, but I was up late last night and decided to check in over at the Naughty Needles site and saw that there’s been some bloggin’ going on — and some booty shakin’ as well.

It looks like Naughty Needles Burlesque has been in full twirl; it’s a super-hot and cute, well-inked troupe of very jiggly girls in Kansas whose costumes are all… knitted! They dance in elaborate knit mermaid costumes (with starfish pasties and full enclosure tail), cavegirl costumes, and even Carmen Miranda knitted fruit outfits. It’s so many things I find sexy in a girl: nerdiness, ubersexiness (and a willingness to share it), and of course, OCD. Purrr.

Phil Peterson has scrumptious black and white images; one of the dancers Laurenn has color shots with lots of backstage fleshiness (image via).

And if you’re looking for the hardcore knitwear, you can always go full-tilt with knit gimp hoods, a knitted feminization suit, or select from several penis and testicle warmers (all found in Woltraum’s “fetisch” section, via sexblo.gs). Naughty Needles All-Male Revue, anyone?
