come to dokrbot with me!

by Violet Blue on November 8, 2006

Longtime readers will remember that I’ve presented twice at this thing called Dorkbot SF, and that I’m a regular attendee of the monthly event whose tagline is “People doing strange things with electricity.” I recently did this moblie video interview with tonight’s guest curator (screeching around SF streets in his ’67 Triumph!). Tonight’s Dorkbot looks to be very cool indeed — and even though most of you don’t live in SF, you can be my date for the event tonight! Join me at 7:30 PST via the live Monkeybrains webcam.

In addition to the featured presenters, afterward there will be “open dorks” with Suicide Bots Robomistress Simone showing her flaming coffee-drink machine in progress — and Bjoern Hartman, winner of one of the Yahoo Hack Day Awards, with his neat camera that goes out and adds images from Flickr to the current thing it’s viewing based on the predominant color it is ‘viewing’.

Details about tonight are here. Oh — and now I brag: look who got to be the subtle poster girl for the inaugural Dorkbot Vancouver Meetup (pictured; image by ninavizz/Treo)!
