My big interview with The English Tart just went up on Fleshbot — she’s going to be naughty nursing at Shibaricon 2006, so I *had* to find out more! Check it out, she’s adorable.
Also — keep your fingers crossed (and any/all other relevant parts) — the Independent Publisher Book Awards have selected not one but *two* of my books as semifinalists for the 2006 awards! In their 2006 Sexuality/Relationships semifinals they listed Best Sex Writing 2005, and in their 2006 Erotica semifinals, they selected Best Women’s Erotica 2006. I’ve long had a stickie on my OSX dashboard with a single quote on it, “Awards are like hemorrhoids, eventually every asshole gets one.” I might just be an asshole, yet. The bummer, of course, is competing with friends — notably, Scott McMorrow in the Erotica category for his beautiful explicit poetry collection Velvet Heat; and in the Sexuality/Relationships category, my dear friend Timothy Archibald for Sex Machines: Photographs and Interviews. Well, Timothy can’t be too piqued; his essay “Sex Machines” is in Best Sex Writing 2005… !
